If you don’t know, I am a big fan of music…music touches people in a very unique way. Below are just a few of my favorite Music DVDs, which is what I mostly what I collect as DVDs. On more than one occasion, I’ve bought these for other people and just said, “here, you should have this.” Still, I’ll put a little blurb about why I love these DVDs below…also, clips from each are on my playslists here.

Bonnaroo 2002
The line-up on this 2 DVD set is just insane…from the del mcoury band, to Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer, to Trey Anastasio, Widespread, Jack Johnson…the list goes on. Every single song is a gem.

Alicia Keys Unplugged
Her recording of Unbreakable is worth the entire disc. Wow. Unreal.

Bob Marley All-Star Tribute
Erykah Badu and Jimmy Cliff on “No Woman, No Cry,” Darius Rucker on “War,” Tracey Chapman with Stephen and Ziggy on “Trenchtown Rock.” The list goes on…but these performances were amazing.

Freddie Mercury Tribute
Six words: Elton John, Axl Rose, Bohemian Rhapsody.

Live 8
Get this for yourself on DVD. It was historic. Endless, amazing peformances.

A Weekend at the Greek: Jack Johnson and Friends
If you are a songwriter or love to hear how an artist thinks about music, this has some super documentary. Of course, the show is super too.
